Shower Curtain Rods
If you’ve recently added a shower over your bath, or added a
separate shower enclosure to your bathroom, an inexpensive
alternative to fitting a shower screen or glass door, is to hang a
shower curtain. To do this, you’ll need to install some kind
of shower curtain rod from which to hang your chosen curtain.
There are various types of shower curtain rods, and which type
you’ll need depends on the layout of your shower and what kind of
look you want to achieve.
Tension shower curtain rods are a great way to suspend shower curtains over a bathtub or shower
stall without the need for drilling holes in the tiles. These
shower curtain rods work on a spring loaded mechanism allowing them
to be fitted between two walls without the need for screws. There
are also several other designs out there for showers and bathrooms
of all shapes and sizes. For example, a curved shower curtain rod
is perfect for an oval shaped bathtub or for use over a standard
bathtub where you want to create an illusion of space.
A curved shower curtain rod is specially designed to curve at
the corners to prevent any water from spraying out of the shower
area. It is easy and quick to install a curved shower curtain rod,
from either the walls or ceiling, depending on the design you’ve
chosen. It should come with all the bits you need to fit it. Shower
curtain rods are available in a selection of different finishes,
such as satin chrome or gold plated, so you should be able to find
one to match to your particular bathroom fixtures.
